I am so happy and thankful I found Amanda and her family! I really appreciated that the process of getting my puppy was high quality, but that everything was still really down to earth. Before finding Log Home Labs, I got in touch with several other breeders. Most had multiple dogs bred at the same time, and wanted me to put hefty deposits down on puppies who weren’t even born yet. I was looking for something a little more low-key but still with a skilled breeder who cared for the puppies and their momma. I found it with Log Home Labs.
Amanda did so many special things to make the process extra meaningful. I shared with Amanda that I wanted a female Black puppy and hoped to name her “Yellow.” The lone female Black puppy in the litter was the last to be born, and Amanda reserved the yellow collar just for her (puppies get colored collars when they are born). Also, I first met Yellow on my birthday! When I arrived at Amanda’s home I saw that Yellow had a “Happy Birthday” balloon attached to her collar. Amanda and her family remembered it was my birthday and wanted to make my meeting Yellow even more special.
Yellow is one of the happiest and friendliest puppies I have ever been around. At only 4 months old, she is turning out to be quite the companion. She is always excited and eager to see me. She does really well adventuring on her own, but always comes back to me to check in and seek guidance on what it is I would like for her to be doing (a behavior Amanda identified in Yellow and shared with me very early). She is excellent at coming back to me whenever I call her, even when she is busy doing exciting things like playing with other puppies, eating a snack, or trying to get the cat to play with her. Her puppy biting phase was short-lived, and she has yet to display any resource guarding tendencies.
I hope Log Home Labs is still around when it comes time for me to get another puppy. If not, I hope that all of my future puppy picking journeys are as comfortable and personal as it was with Log Home Labs!

I'm in disbelief at how perfect of a puppy we got! We have never had trouble with her barking and she is even really quiet when she plays, even with other dogs. She loves her kiddie pool, and she loves fruit. She will sometimes try to trick us when we play fetch and will swap the tennis ball for an apple from the ground! She has also learned how to pick her own blueberries off the bush, so I guess no more blueberries for the rest of us! She can jump really high and just loves jumping around. She is always making us smile and laugh and we just love having her around! She also loves laying across the back of the couch so she can be right next to your face and give you all the kisses. She recently learned a "hug" command and will put her paws on your shoulders and let you give her a squeeze, and she has learned how to balance a treat on her nose and leave it there until you tell her she can have it, then catch it in her mouth! She's such a smart girl. Lucy, our cat, likes to rub her face on Mable's chin and chest and Mable is so well-behaved and just lets her do it! Car rides are her favorite and she loves sticking her head out the window. Mable is learning and growing so fast, and we couldn't imagine our lives without her! We are so glad that Mable is our first dog, because she is just perfect!

We are truly thankful that we learned about Log Home Labs. Our adorable Chloe just turned 1 yr. old in April 2020. She has quite the personality, being goofy, silly, playful, comical and a teaser to her brother Samson (retriever mix). She loves to retrieve balls, sticks etc.., go for car rides, walks and explore our 20 acres.
Chloe is a true family companion. Her loyalty and unconditional love makes her the ideal family member. She came to us at 8 weeks old, crate trained and house broken except for a few accidents (expected). She is very smart and learned all the basic commands, plus some, within weeks of getting her. She LOVES LOVES LOVES people, kids and other dogs but is also a great watch dog. She follows me around the property and is always curious what I'm doing.
Our experience with Log Home Labs has been wonderful. There selective breeding, careful and loving rearing and their abilities to match the dog's personality with our request was right on target.
We are very blessed to have met Amanda (owner/breeder) and we couldn't be more happy with our sweet Chloe.

Tita has added so much to our family and we are grateful for that. My husband and I adore her, and people we meet are constantly commenting on how beautiful and sweet she is. She has the best temperament. She loves people, other dogs, food and life! She brings us so much joy! We are so grateful to you for giving us a healthy, beautiful and well balanced pup! Our only regret is that we did not get one of your pups sooner. Tita is more than we ever hoped for.

Cid is playful and energetic as well as sweet and friendly. He loves running and jumping as much as he loves cuddling and taking naps together on the couch. It’s obvious to us how well he was socialized before he came to us, as he loves meeting everyone (especially kids). He is very adaptable, and has fallen into any adjustments to routine as he’s grown up. We also know he was well-handled as he doesn’t fuss as we pick him up, open his mouth, hold his feet or his tail, anything like that. We were able to teach Cid almost all of the basic commands that our other dog knows within the first couple of weeks of having him home, and he seems have the capacity to learn a lot more. He is in exemplary health and hasn’t had any issues at all so far; he even recovered from his neuter without complaint. I appreciate the care and attention taken by Log Home Labs while raising him to make sure he was exposed to different environments and used to every kind of person to make his adjustment to our home go as smoothly as possible. Even more so, we appreciate the sweet friendly companion we now have in Cid. Thank you!

My handsome pup Stetson is now 6 months old! I have two other lab pups from other breeders, but my experience with Log Home Labradors has been the best yet. They made me feel welcome from the first phone call asking questions about the puppies, and how they are handled. I am from out of town, so my first time meeting Amanda was via FaceTime. She explained who Jersey was and her temperament and family life, told me all about how they would introduce the puppies to different environments and food bowls, and toys so that they would get used to so many different items young. From the first phone call I was so comfortable, and knew I would find a puppy I couldn’t live without from Log Home Labradors. Throughout the course of 8 weeks I was always up to date on the next and latest information on my puppy. Pictures, weight stats, personality, eating habits, and playfulness. They wanted to make sure that I got paired with the pup that best suited my family. It was wonderful to be able to get updates whenever I wanted them. When I went to the site to pick out my puppy it was a beautiful place to raise puppies. It was clean, and very well kept.
I am extremely pleased with the perfect temperament of Stetson. He is gentle enough to play with my 5 year old, and the younger kids at my mom’s daycare. Yet he is driven and intelligent enough to be a great retriever and hunting partner. At 6 months old he has learned every hand and verbal command I need him to know, and he retrieves dummies from the field and enjoys every minute of it. I would recommend anyone looking for a well-rounded dog to get a lifelong partner from Log Home Labradors!

We got our first dog Bentley from Jersey Rose and Token's first litter. Bentley is our first dog and Amanda made the experience smooth and simple. We had a lot of puppy questions pre- and post- pickup and Amanda was very responsive in answering. She gave us all the proper items to get Bentley settled in (blankets, pet food, medical info, toy, etc).
Bentley himself is the sweetest boy with a very friendly and love-to-please temperament, credits to Log Home Labs. Amanda was able to introduce Bentley to car rides and crates, so it made the transition for us really really easy (Bentley was sleeping comfortably in his crate by the second night!). Bentley's had a clean bill of health and is projected by the vet to grow up to be 80lb!
