OUR STORY

How We Became Lab Lovers

Before adopting our first lab, my husband and I did a lot of research on the breed.  We felt certain that a lab would be a perfect fit for our three young children - particularly for our child with autism, as labs have proven to be excellent service animals and have such wonderful demeanors.  She joined our family at 8 weeks old, and we knew right away that she was a perfect fit.  She was everything we'd hoped to find in a lab - friendly, gentle, loving, playful, intelligent and extremely easygoing.

My mom has bred dogs for years and as a result, I have learned a lot about the process and the importance of breeding standards.  When we bought property with my parents in 2016 and moved from California to Oregon to experience multi-generational log home living, I also gained some real hands-on experience with her breeding program.  That experience prepared me to lead my own program, very fortunately under her experienced supervision and with her assistance, if needed.

Making the decision to adopt a puppy is not one to be taken lightly, and I take my position as a breeder very seriously.  I love this breed, and I would not produce puppies that didn't honor that.  My family and I work with the puppies daily, raising them in a safe and sanitary environment, exposing them to new things so that they aren't afraid of new challenges as they grow up, and even working toward potty training.  Our hope is that after your puppy leaves our home to join you in yours, that adorable little pup will prove to be everything that you've hoped for and more!
